Adult’s Social Worker – Swindon 
Mental Health Team
Rate: up to £31 per hour
 
We are recruiting for motivated qualified social worker to join our busy team. This role is with one of the UK’s highest performing local authorities, serving as one of the best places to live and work in.
 
This is a qualified role requiring you to be SWE registered and have relevant experience within adult’s services.

In 2023, Swindon Borough Council ended the secondment arrangements after many years of social workers being seconded into the Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP). We then formed a new Mental Health Social Work Team within the council.
 
We are looking for:
 
• 1 locum Social Worker to work within our mental health team while we are recruiting to some permanent roles.
 
This is an opportunity to join a team with high ambitions to support people with a mental illness in Swindon. You will have a sound knowledge of the Care Act; strengths based working; and a willingness to learn and develop alongside your team colleagues Experience of mental health social work is preferred but we will consider people who have sound practice skills and are willing to learn more about mental health work. You will also be passionate about ensuring people with a mental illness are supported to live their best lives.
