Pay rate – £40,221 – £43,421 per annum, plus £5,500 market supplement and £963 essential car user allowance (subject to criteria)

Luton Borough Council have a highly rewarding opportunity within the Community Learning Disability and Autism Team where you will provide professional support, leadership and line management assisting the team to promote the independence, inclusion and well-being of all adults with a learning disability enabling them to have control over their lives and ensure we comply with the Luton Council and Safeguarding Adults Boards policies and procedures.
The multi-disciplinary team consists of Community Learning Disability Nurses, Social Workers, and Social Care Assessors, the range of involvement includes care management, transitions, safeguarding and mental health as well as enabling people to gain independent skills and meaningful employment. Luton are currently undertaking a number of exciting strengths-based approach projects including personal technology, connecting people and asset-based community development.
In this vital role, you will provide leadership on risk and safeguarding and professional social work matters and to promote personalised care pathways ensuring choice and control for all eligible individuals.
You will be expected to work with others to influence and shape the local environment, to promote social inclusion and accessibility and ensure that identified needs are understood individually, by locality and fed into strategic commissioning.
You will need at least 1 year of post qualification experience and to be registered with Social Work England.
